A room’s size isn’t just about the floor space and square footage, but the room’s height. Take advantage of and use your room’s vertical space to help create the illusion of more space. By adding tall objects and décor pieces, you can help to draw attention upward instead of out, to open the room. Ideas include the use of tall vases with tall or layered arrangements, tall paintings or stacked paintings, adding floor-length drapes, floor lamps and tall mirrors.
A living room is the place where you spend most part of your home awake time. You entertain your guests there or if the TV is in the living you will spend family time there watching movies. So this are enough reasons to have a good looking living room, that reflects your taste and style.
Overhead lighting tends to pool in one spot, focusing the eye to only a small section of the room but using a few smaller lamps in each corner will draw the eye around making the room seem larger. Try some cool wall sconces to keep the floor space open.
Trying to squeeze multiple pieces of small furniture into a tiny space will always make a room look cramped and congested. Instead, opt for a few bigger pieces like an L-shaped couch, which wraps around the room nicely and leaves plenty of space in the center.
