An eye-catching headboard can easily act as the focal point for a master bedroom, and sometimes it’s all the boom-pow you need. Solid bold-color headboards look great in shapely styles with fun detailing, such as button tufting. A patterned headboard works in either unique or simple shapes. If you know the bed is where you want the attention to be, starting with the headboard and then letting it inform your other pieces in the room is a great approach.
Before you start converting anything, you will want to decide what purpose or function the outdoor portion of your bedroom will play? Do you want it as a sitting area that is an addition to your actual sleeping area? Do you want it to be able to be an option for sleeping as well, for instance, consist of a bed or other type of sleeping quarters? Maybe you want the outdoor portion of the bedroom to a place where you can sit and watch a little TV, play games, visit with your spouse or gaze at the stars. Knowing what purpose the area will serve will help you determine what type of furniture you will need, how big of a space you will need off of the main bedroom, and what type of coverage or other enclosure you may want to include.
Add décor pieces that reflect who you are and your style. Wall paintings, table and dresser décor pieces, such as flowers, or pictures. Create your own personal getaway with the things that make you feel relaxed, happy, whatever the feel you want to have while you are in your personal retreat, your master bedroom.
Crystal chandeliers were thought of as an elegant, dining room ambiance. Today, people are glamorizing their bedrooms with crystal chandeliers for a dramatic look and feel. Crystal chandeliers add a sense of elegance and luxury that other chandeliers do not. Crystal prisms often give people a sense of joy, watching the lights that they capture, reflect the colors across the room. Crystal chandeliers can be big or small, but they should fit the size of the room and not consume too much ceiling or room space, in smaller rooms. Use the height of the walls and square footage of the room to help you to scale your chandelier. By adding similar style table lamps and luxurious, dramatic drapes, you can tie the room’s theme and décor together.
