Since many of the materials used in modern design have a tendency to come off as cold or even a little harsh, it becomes necessary to infuse a sense of warmth and comfort back into the room. One easy way to do that is by layering different textures throughout the space.
Since the bathroom is often thought of as one of the most valuable rooms in your home, it’s only natural to want to think long and hard about how to make the best design changes. Those looking into modern bathroom ideas will want to strike a balance between creating a sharp-looking space and making sure it doesn’t feel too sterile.
For powder rooms, balance the need for privacy with the need for easy access to the half bath from any public space in the home (e.g., down a short hall instead of adjacent to a dining room or living room). If you enjoy outdoor activities like gardening or have children at home, consider placing the powder room close to an outdoor entrance to limit the amount of mud and dirt tracked indoors.
Creating a shower-only bathroom, or indeed a wet room, can give you more space and a less squashed look. Just bear in mind that families like baths so if the home is likely to be sold to a family buyer later, a lack of bath could put them off.,
